Dave McGuire still managed to fit in a race while he was over in Berlin visiting his sister and watching the athletics:
"I got my time and position from the 10k Champions Run - Berlin, lastSaturday (Aug 22nd). My time was 38:07 and I finished 266th which was a decent time whilst on my holidays!!! I was totally delighted and excited to participate and it was really well spectated all the way round.
It took place around all the sight seeing spots of central Berlin which started and finished running through the Brandenburg Gates, which is a spectacular setting - a few hours after the men's marathon in the World Championships. About 6,000 runners turned out. Everyone got a medal and the organisationand atmosphere was of a very high standard."
Well done Dave!
