Two of Hyde Park Harriers younger athletes were competing on a mizzly morning in Middleton Woods. First up was Kara King who lined up with 121 other u/11 girls to run the 1.8km course. Kara made easy work of the soft ground and came home in 15th place, helping her school to 5th place out of the 19 schools competing. Next up was Ellie Dooley in the u/15 girls. A much smaller field for the 3.6km race saw Ellie line up in her Hyde Park Harriers vest. After two laps of the course Kara had previously trod Ellie finished with her now customary sprint finish to nick 5th place. Both girls pleased with their performances and looking forward to the next race on 6 November 2010.
