The race was organized by Otley Athletic Club for invited local clubs and took place around Fewston and Swinsty Reservoirs to the north of Otley. Hyde Park Harriers got a very late invitation so Liz Jones, Rick Pullan and Chris Jones donned their vests on a sunny Friday evening and headed for the country.
The event is for teams of three people with each stage between three to four miles in length and takes place on public footpaths, bridleways and a small amount of road. Every stage starts and finishes at the Yorkshire Water car park at Fewston so there was a good atmosphere among the spectators and those who had run their leg or were waiting to set off.

There were 52 teams and lots of familiar faces. Rick drew the short straw and ran the longest leg which also happened to be fly infested as well (see photo). Thanks to Anne for the support.
