Today was just one of those days where we had the opportunity to show what a friendly, inclusive, brilliant running club we are! At the race this morning there were people running, marshalling, photographing and general supporting. Special mentions to Russell who decided to take photos of the marshals and give them sweets today and to Ralph who completed his first ever half marathon joggle with only 8 drops in the whole 13.1 miles. Also to Jan for getting a new pb by nearly 6 minutes! Well done ALL of you.

Kara King was also running in the junior 2.5km race and finished in 11:01.
Marshalling were Rick Pullan (who was stressing out organising it!), Sue Foster and family, Helen Williams, Suzanne Bickerdike, Paul Warren, Joe Hogg, Kathryn Rafferty, Gill Jones, Michael Jameson.
Photographing and general supporting were Dave McGuire (who dashed around the course on his bike) and Hamsa Tawfik who, despite being 4 months pregnant, ran to various points on the course to take pics and cheer. Ian Watson was there with his camera as well. Chris Jones, Debra Brown, Kay Fawcett, Helen Bailey, Lauren Conley and Craig Conley (complete with police badge which was a big help in stopping motorists!) were also around to provide lots of cheers and Vikki King at the start and cheering Kara in.
Following this busy morning, Liz and Chris Jones held a brilliant marathon celebration party - thank you from everyone.
Really hope I haven't missed anyone out - let me know if I have please.
Photos here - thanks to Ian and Hamsa. Photos here by Dave McGuire.
