Paul Sanderson and Liz Green did the Stadium Runners Woodland Challenge this morning at Storthes Hall Park, Huddersfield
"... and what a fantastic event it is... We loved the brass band at the beginning of the race (which was set off by Ron Hill) and the keyboard player playing the theme to "Chariots of Fire" in the middle of the woods! The event was really well organised with lots of very enthusiastic marshalls all the way round the 2 lap course. The race did live up to its name with some steep ascents and descents and was mainly all off road through woodland and along trail paths. We all received a long sleeved Technical T-shirt and the best goody bag ever (including Baked Beans, pots of fruit, porridge, cereal bars, fruit juice, custard, a pen........etc etc). Thoroughly good value & we'll be back. Well done to Stadium Runners.No results available yet but we think Paul did 50 mins and me 70."
