Paul Sanderson and Liz Green did the Yorkshire 10K yesterday in the scenic grounds of Newby Hall near Ripon.
"This was virtually all off-road, taking in the fields, riverbank paths and woods of the estate and was in aid of Cystic Fibrosis. Running through long grass & the uneven surfaces made the going difficult (I saw a few tumbles on the riverbank!) but it was thoroughly enjoyable. The run was a first on two counts - it's the first race we've done where flocks of sheep are running through the fields with you, and secondly it's the first race where we've been handed chocolate along with our medals - all runners received a Kit Kat! We can't find any official results but think Paul did about 48:16 and I did about 65 mins. We're doing the Askern 10K on Wednesday evening so hoping for better results there!"
