Dear all, I've recently been approached by a number of Run Club members with exciting ideas regarding the development of Virgin Active Road Runners and ways to take the club forward. Although currently I am the Chairman of the club I feel that due to my significant commitments to triathlon, my own training and my work at the University I am probably not the best person for the job. Having been involved with the club for many years I would definitely like to continue in my role on a Tuesday evening but feel there are others who be better suited to the position of club chairman and would therefore like to stand down. In light of this, as well as the need to appoint a club treasurer and also look at other positions such as mens and ladies captain, we have decided to call an Emergency General Meeting (EGM) for Sunday, 4pm at the gym. This meeting is open to everyone who has anything to do with the club and if you feel like you would like to contribute to the discussions regarding taking the club forward I would encourage you to attend.
