Well done to the 10 HPH runners from the 3 categories – you/we all did great and picked up a heap of knowledge and experience from this tough trip away. Great support from Sam, Jan, Liz and Helen as well as the rest of the runners when not racing.

Pictures of the day, click here.

Accompanying pictures pretty much tell the story of the day (other than a snowy morning and first aiders were in full on action explains why the races were cut in distance for safety reasons. The U15’s were at the heart of the key decision point as whether to postpone the event or not and had to wait on race line, a ‘bad’ 30 mins in just their running gear.
Next year the Nat XC Champs. racing comes from London’s Parliament Hill on Feb 25th.  This race has ran since 1876/1877 (only 10 Championships cancelled due to the 1st and 2nd World War’s of 1915-1919 and1940-1945!) HPH are now firmly part of this little bit of British sporting history. Be there in 2012!
