Khara Mills and Debra Brown took part in the Hawkshead 15km trail race yesterday. According to Debra, Khara raced it, she completed it (no wonder with a week to London!).
Debra says: "Kay would have been proud of how many of the steepest ascents and descents I walked in order to preserve my limbs and joints, a factor bought vividly home to me at 5m when the girl in front of me hurtled over a tree route and badly twisted her knee. A fabulous run but not an easy one, it was very rocky under foot at parts and difficult to get a solid rythmn going at times but the views were stunning and we couldn't have asked for a nicer day."
Khara finished in 1:39:29 (353rd, 66th lady) and Debra finished in 2:03:04 (543rd, 151st lady)
Well done on completing what sounds like a real toughy.
