From me: Many thanks to Tom, H and Dave for marshalling (even though Rick is blaming Dave for a non pb due to posing for the camera and hitting his leg on the bench...). Seriously though, thanks for all your cheers and encouragement because it really does help. Here's to a fantastic 2009...
Dave McGuire wanted to add: A guest write up is required on this post as the usual reporter turned up a fantastic result to end 2008 in all things VARR running and all that. Vikki posted an awesome pb on the Hyde Park time trial this morning and finished as first female finisher, and 14th overall, in a time of 22:03 and a twelve second improvement on her last best effort . The great thing about this time is that Vikki can now target a nice new target of busting out of the '22 mins' sector and saying hi to the 21min variety. Well done also to Rick for a final position of 11th and only 9 seconds off another pb for 'snake hips' (have you seen his dancing!!!???)!! Well done also to Surinder, Jaz and a hard battling Amar who all completed the time trial this morning. Another thanks to everyone who volunteered the event. Hope to see as many at Tuesday run club session as possible. Merry Xmas everyone!

The cold season seems to have hit HPTT (either that or the alcohol season...). Smallest crowd I have seen for today's race, but great fun all the same. Jaz wasn't well, but still turned up and did brilliantly. Kara had a great time marshalling and didn't want to give up her yellow vest at the end. It's the last one of the year next Saturday - let's make it a good one!

It was cold this morning, but nowhere near as cold as last week. The ice was still on the ground from the snow earlier this week though and parts of the park were pretty dodgy to say the least. Still, pbs for Dave and Rick. Rick played a blinder and knocked an amazing 20 seconds off his previous pb. Well done boys! As a club we did well getting 2nd place for both the men (Dave) and ladies (Vikki). Santa Dash next week...

Freezing cold this morning at -1. Dave was complaining about his time, but we are still amazed at his speed! Rick was miffed as he missed out on a new pb by 2 seconds. Sure you will get it next week Rick.
